The Bible will guide your life, but you have to read it to know for yourself what it says. 
We encourage everyone to read it regularly and the best way to do that is to follow a Bible reading schedule. 

A quick online search will show you many Bible reading plans to choose from. Some plans have you read the entire Bible in a year, others in some other length of time. Some go through the books in the same order found in the Bible, others follow a more chronological approach.
It really doesn't matter, just pick one and ask the Holy Spirit to help you follow it. At the end, of the year, you can decide whether to do the same plan again or maybe try a different plan, the important thing is to get started.  

Do you think you have to wait until January to start? No worries! Jump in at any point of the year!
Just find the current date on the reading plan and pick up from there, reading the designated portions for the rest of the year. You will have much to be proud of as you will have read large portions of scripture!

Each month will be posted here as the year progresses. There are monthly tabs at the bottom. 
For your convenience, each passage is clickable and will take you to the passage in the NIV, but you have the option to change it to any translation you like.
We have also included links to videos by The Bible Project that give an overview of each book. (Please note that there are some issues with how some important doctrines are portrayed in a few of the videos, but overall, they provide excellent summaries of each book.)
